GGCA uses Paul G. Hewitt's "Conceptual Physics" text as our major reference for our 12th grade Physics course. Although this is a conceptual course, seniors are expected to perform grade-appropriate mathematical calculations - as well as master the major conceptual themes presented in the course. Experiments and projects are interwoven throughout the year-long course with the goal of students implementing concepts in real-world challenges. An emphasis on understanding the place of physics in the broader scheme of science helps to support and wrap up the high school science track at GGCA.
